Happy Friday…I’ve been MIA from the Color My Heart Color Dare Blog for a few weeks, but I’m back with some bright cheery colors. This week we are featuring the colors Lemon, Raspberry, Willow and White Daisy.
I embossed each of my cardstock panels and then layered a strip of white daisy stamped in Lemon. I love the bright yellow, but it can be hard to see if you don’t use a bold stamp. My hibiscus is made with the Flower Market cartridge and cut at 1.75.
OK, now it’s YOUR turn! The full details on how to join the fun is in the sidebar of our homepage. Each color dare is open until 9:00 CDT on Thursday!
While at the homepage – check out what the other design team members have created and leave them a little love (comments make our day)!
I love this sweet baby elephant…I’ve used it for several cards since the Flower Market cartridge was released last year, but this by far is my favorite! I think it might be because it’s all BLUE!!!
I reached for my Whimsy Fundamentals and grabbed the Glacier and Crystal Blue papers and ribbon to put together this layered collage card from the Wishes How To Book. I like all the patterns giving the card lots of texture.
The Fundamentals papers are so versatile without a specific theme they are a great addition to your card making supplies and come in our Whimsy, Adventure & Enchantment color palettes.
Thanks for stopping by…I hope you’ll take a minute and leave me a comment about your favorite Fundamentals collection.
I love sending Easter cards and this year with a little help from my Artfully Sent Cricut Cartridge my cards are simple yet whimsical.
I used Pansy & Canary for my card bases and a scrap of the Kaleidoscope papers from my scrap bin. All the little colors have always reminded me of jelly beans and it’s just such happy colors.
I decided to link up with the Heart to Heart Challenge – Whims-ical, because afterall I’ve never really seen any bunny hopping around the yard wearing a jelly bean fur coat and hiding eggs.
Thanks for stopping by and spending some time with me today, I’d love it if you’d take a minute and leave me a comment.
Here I am as promised with another card using the April Stamp of the month Flock Together. Didn’t I tell you this stamp set was perfect for a baby card?
I really like the Whimsy Fundamentals line especially the page of brush stroked love 🙂 I then layered a little Gold Glitter Paper and Pixie cardstock to hold my image. The birds were stamped in Whisper and Pixie to represent grandma & baby.
I’ll be back next week for some more ideas for this stamp set, but in the meantime you better get yours ordered before it’s not available.
Thanks for stopping by!
Welcome to the Joyful Stars Blog Hop for April…a little birdie told me you should have arrived here from my friend Debi Brile’s Blog, but if you are starting here that’s ok too. We are a circular hop filled with amazing artwork with Close to My Heart products so if you click on the links at the end of each post you’ll eventually end up right back where you started.
As my husband would tell me…let’s roll ’em cowgirl!
This month I’m featuring a gate-fold card using the papers and stamps from the Some Kinda Wonderful product line. I wasn’t too sure of the patterns in these papers when I saw them in the catalog, but I’ve ended up using them all. I can’t get enough of the animals and sentiments in this cute coordinating stamp set and since it’s paired with thin cuts, this girl couldn’t be happier!
I’ve also linked my card up to a new challenge blog called Three Amigos. Their first challenge is to use the Some Kinda Wonderful papers. If you’d like to link up something too, click here.
If you don’t have a consultant I’d love it if you’d choose me – not local that’s ok too! I host a mystery hostess party each month on my business page – if you order you’re entered for a chance to be the hostess for that month. You can also find out about my classes and other happenings if you LIKE my Facebook Page.
Now we’ve reached the time where you can leave me a comment (if you want to make me happy) and then you can hop over to Krista’s Crafty Corner to see her project.
Sometimes this is how it all starts, a couple snippets a paper and a few Cricut cuts – in this case a daffodil and a rain boot. I would love a pair of rain boots on most days in the great Pacific Northwest, but alas they have avoided being added to my overflowing collection of shoes and boots.
Now on to show how it all goes together…
I stamped the background with Lagoon Ink using one of the Flower Market Coordinating Stamp sets – those blotches reminded me of raindrops. I added the “hello” sentiment another cut from the Flower Market cartridge.
If you have a minute I love to read your comments and you can even let me know if you own rain boots! Thanks for stopping by!
I can’t decide if their fraternal or identical because all the papers in these two cards are identical they are just flipped over to show the other side.
I love everything about these cards especially since that cute cupcake has matching thin cuts.
Did you know that if you’re looking for inspiration my posts are searchable either by the category of card, paper packet or stamp set? I love it when I can be a part of your creative life. If you’re looking for a Close to My Heart consultant, I’d love to be yours.
Thanks for stopping by I hope you’ve got a little Sugar Rush now.
