Double Trouble #99

It’s time for more trouble…Double Trouble Papercrafting Challenge that is. This post is bittersweet for me as I will be leaving the Double Trouble Design Team. You’ll still see me around once in a while…I just won’t be participating as Twisted Sister …I will miss my alter-ego, but after much consideration have decided that I want to spend my time creating for me.

Our challenge consists of three parts: Trouble Makers main challenge, Double Dares challenge to link with another blog which you may or may not decided to participate in and Twisted Sisters surprise challenge! You can find all the details on the rules page of the challenge blog.

This week the challenge is “For those of you who are looking for open challenges in December… this is the challenge for you.  In December there are holidays, special events, and even bizarre and wacky days.  We have decided for this challenge the special event or theme: IT’S UP TO YOU.  Thing 3 is asking that you include a number – this could be an age, special date or even a calendar.

My card was inspired by two great nephews that were headed to the Washington State Highschool Football Championship Game. There mom sent out a call for notes of encouragement and I couldn’t resist reaching for my CTMH Paperdoll and Sports stamp sets and make some cute football players. My numbers were cut with my cricut…it reminded me how much I enjoy that little bug and I need to use him more often.

I hope you’ve enjoyed my card and will consider joining our challenge. If you’d like more inspiration visit my team members at Double Trouble.

This week the challenge is a Something, Anything, Everything challenge with Twisted Sisters unusual twist of choosing ANYTHING FROM MY CARD.

“This Twist is on you… choose at least one element from my card below and include it on your project!  You may repeat my colors, my images, my shapes, my layout, or my embellishments. Choose at least one element, i.e. dry embossing, snowflakes, twine, plaid, banner, cookies/sweets, dots, etc.  Don’t keep us guessing… tell us what element(s) you selected as YOUR TWIST and include in your post description!
This is an OPTIONAL TWIST but you will be awarded an additional chance in Double Trouble’s random draw.   Additionally, I have some Blog Candy I want to give away… Leave a comment on my blog HERE and you will be eligible for another random draw prize.”

I am in love with the Macaron stamp set…not such a big fan of the cookie themselves, but the fun colors that they come in led me to create a sweet Christmas themed card for a friend.

I hope you’ve enjoyed my card and will consider joining our challenge. If you’d like more inspiration visit my team members at Double Trouble and team up with one of our previous partners for an extra chance at our random draw.

Double Trouble – 97B

I’m pretty sure that Trouble Maker is going to choke me if I don’t get this post up, but good things come to those that wait and well now that I’m in Arizona (the same state as Trouble Maker) I decided I better get with it. She doesn’t scare me much two states away, but being an hour away that’s an entirely different scenario 🤣

This week the challenge is to create a Cute Halloween Card with a twist using Washi Tape

My card uses papers from the Boo Crew paper collection from Close to My Heart which I cut using the Sunburst Die Cut. The die was also used to cut a piece of black glitter paper which I layered to give the sunburst some dimension. Can you find my Washi Tape? I used a tiny piece of black & white stripe under my sentiment.

I hope you’ve enjoyed my card and will consider joining our challenge. If you’d like more inspiration visit my team members at Double Trouble and our partner team Cupcake Inspirations.

Thankful

This was such a fun card…I started by random stamping leaves in assorted fall colors to create my own background paper. The trick is to start with the largest stamp and using a loose triangular pattern. The CTMH Make It From Your Heart blog recently posted some stamping techniques that you want to keep up your crafty sleeves. It’s always fun to revisit these techniques. I also cut the die cut word four times – three times from white and once from Harbour stacked and glued them all together to add some simple dimension.

I’d love to know what your favorite part of fall is…I like trading in my t-shirts for sweatshirts.

Happy Fall, Happy Everything!

I am having fun with the Autumn Is Calling stamp & thin cuts. I combined some die cut leaves stamped in Papaya & Harbour with the Pumpkin Spice Papers. I then grabbed the retired Happy Everything stamp set and added a scripty greeting.

Have you had a chance to look at all the fall items on my website www.papercraftingprincess.ctmh.com? There are so many fun new products.

Autumn Is Calling

Fall is definitely knocking on the door here in Washington. The leaves are starting to change and there is a definite crispness to the air. Perfect stamping weather.

The Autumn is Calling stamp set with matching thin cut dies was sitting on my desk just begging to be used and what better way than with a shaker card? I used a few papers from the Pumpkin Spice Collection. I just love the Paprika and Harbour inks together and the Autumn Loose Sequins are so fun.

Have you made a shaker card? I’ve made a lot of them over the years, but I have a friend that has never made one (gasp)!

Don’t forget to run over to my website www.papercraftingprincess.ctmh.com and check out all the fun new fall items.
