Double Trouble – #64

It’s time for more trouble…Double Trouble Papercrafting Challenge that is.

Our challenge consists of three parts: Trouble Makers main challenge, Double Dares challenge to link with another blog which you may or may not decided to participate in and Twisted Sisters surprise challenge! You can find all the details on the rules page of the challenge blog.

This week the challenge is Let’s Brighten the Day with the Color My Heart Color Dare as our challenge partner.

My card started with one of my favorite patterns from the Make it From Your Heart and I chose a color palette of Charcoal, Glacier & Thistle from Love of Color. If you ever need a good color combination that is the place to go!

I hope you’ve enjoyed my card and will consider joining our challenge. If you’d like more inspiration visit my team members at Double Trouble and our partner team Color My Heart Color Dare.

Color My Heart Color Dare – Red

What things can you think of that are red? My first thought when I saw Color My Heart Color Dare challenge #387 was a firetruck.

You can only use Red with accents of Black & White – no other colors no other neutrals. I grabbed a Candy Apple B&T from a retired Christmas packet and cut a strip of black that I ran through the big shot to get stitched X’s. The firetruck is mounted with thin 3D foam tape on a white stitched circle that is matted with a black circle. Two black dots finish off my card.

It’s been lots of fun being able to spend uninterrupted time in the Craft-Coop during the Stay Home, Stay Healthy order. What have you been doing with your extra time at home?

Double Trouble #45

There is no better way to start a Monday than with a little trouble – A Double Trouble Papercrafting Challenge that is!

Our challenge for the next two weeks (12/13-12-29) is include stripes – you’ll get an extra draw entry if you use black & white stripes with the fun twist of adding at least three additional colors., you can also get extra points in our prize draw by linking to our Challenge Partner Color My Heart Color Dare . You can find all the details and link up your creations by visiting our challenge blog.

My card is one of my favorite patterns from the Make It From Your Heart Vol. 4. I supported Trouble Maker with my Black & White and added the additional colors of Candy Apple, Glacier & Green Apple. My stripes are in the dotted B&T papers from the Holly Jolly paper packet and the white trees on the black background.

Don’t forget to link up and join the fun…everyone needs a little Double Trouble in their life!

Color Dare #370

Happy Friday I’m back with another Design Team card for  Color My Heart Color Dare.   This week our challenge is Browns & only 1 Splash of Color

After some clarification on the browns in the Close to My Heart Color Palette, I made a fall card featuring the colors, Toffee, Espresso & Glacier. I’ve seen so many of the plaid pumpkins and decided that a pretty plaid of Glacier & Toffee reminded me of a flannel shirt that I would buy for my dad.

I first stamped the Build a Plaid on a piece of white c/s then stamped and die cut the pumpkin. I layered it on a circle that I stamped with the Thankful, Grateful, Blessed Sentiment repeatedly in Espresso Ink. I added a few retired embellishments in Espresso and Glacier to finish off the card.

Color Dare #368

Happy Friday I’m back with another Design Team card for  Color My Heart Color Dare.   This week our challenge is to choose any colors inspired by the Horn of Plenty.

I had so much fun picking the fall colors for this card…I settled for cardstock in Peacock and Ruby, some papers from the mix-in paper packet and an assortment of stamp sets.

The z-fold card is attached to a flat fold and when it extends you find a gift card pocket. It was quite easy to put together and still packed a little surprise. My hubby thought the coffee rings looked like they were from a shot glass – shhh, don’t tell him the Craft-Coop is where I keep my stash.

Color Dare #366

Happy Friday I’m back with another Design Team card for  Color My Heart Color Dare.   This week our challenge is a fan favorite Tic Tac Toe!

No photo description available.

I choose to use one of the papers from the Hawthorn paper packet and although I was going for the third column of Paprika, Pebble & Sapphire there’s a little Sage & Saffron thrown in with the leaves.

Color Dare #364

Happy Friday I’m back with another Design Team card for  Color My Heart Color Dare.   This week our challenge is to choose three colors from the Color Dare Grid.

No photo description available.

I love these colors all together and standing on their own, so it was a bit of a challenge for me to choose only 3, in the long run Eggplant, Peacock & Saffron were my choices.

The retired Documented paper packet had all the colors I needed and embellishments to match!

Color Dare # 362

Happy Friday I’m back with another Design Team card for  Color My Heart Color Dare.   This week our challenge is taken from a beautiful inspiration photo.

I had fun looking through paper packets trying to figure out what I was going to use when I ran across Flirty – I believe it was a paper packet that was released during my first CTMH convention in Dallas.

I combined some old with new combining a new stamp set with an old paper & embellishments. I used New England Ivy & Raspberry Ink and although it’s not a perfect match the color works well together.

Color Dare #360

Happy Friday I’m excited to be back on the Design Team for the  Color My Heart Color Dare.   This week our challenge is to pick a row and play Tic Tac Toe!

I chose the Top Row Pansy, Heather and Sugarplum – although these three colors retired from the CTMH lineup on August 31 – I couldn’t resist playing with them one last time.

I used the Dandelion Wishes stamp set and chose to have some seeds floating across the light side of the Sugarplum cardstock. I loved blowing dandelions as a kid, but not so much as an adult when there is a field of yellow in my grass.

Double Trouble #27

It’s ALWAYS a free for all when Double Trouble finds a month with a fifth week! It doesn’t matter what you link up, it just has to be a new project so get busy and CREATE!!!

Trouble Maker & Double Dare accused me of babbling, but now I’m at a loss for words so my twist is to make a WORD the focus of your project. You can use stamps, pattern papers, one word or many – just have some fun!

Double Dare also challenges us to link up to one of our previous partners so run over to the homepage of our blog and take a look at what other challenges are going on.

I decided that I would play along with the Color My Heart Color Dare. I’m on a bit of a hiatus from the Design Team, but I wanted to make sure they didn’t forget that I existed – like that would ever happen, LOL! The colors this week are from the Love of Color (you have to pick at least 3) I chose Lagoon, Sapphire, Ballerina and Candy Apple and added some silver embellishments.

I can’t wait to see what you create for our Free For All Challenge…hopefully you’ll be indulging me with a bunch of words!
