Have you visited the Three Amigos Blog Hop Challenge yet? I’m Guest Designing for the month of September so I’m here to hound you again! Get linked up people!!!
The Falling for You papers are so fun to work with now that the weather has turned a bit chilly – everything feels like leaves and pumpkins!
Seaglass was a tough act to follow but Close to My Heart’s Color of the Year Bashful has taken a front row on my craft desk. I’ve actually got tired of hopping up and getting it so I gave it along with the matching glitter paper a place of it’s own.
If you order during the month of September it’s likely you’ll find this card in your bag (or mailbox if you order directly from my webpage.) It’s one of my favorite sizes 4.75 X 3 – I can get 4 out of one sheet of cardstock. That rich yummy brown is Espresso one of the new additions to our recently redesigned basics palette. It’s difficult to see in the photo, but the arrow under the sentiment is stamped in Bashful – both of these stamps are from the September Stamp of the Month Feel So Blessed.
Do you like little cards? Leave me a comment and I’ll drop a card in the mail to you. Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by and make sure you visit the Three Amigos Blog Hop.
This years Close to My Heart Color of the year, Bashful, pairs so nicely with the new updated Basics Family.
My Color Club members receive the pieces to make an exclusive card each month in their color kit. This month’s card features the Happy Heart and Ink Splash stamp sets.
Thanks for stopping by…have a great weekend!
On Monday I posted about the great patterns that are available for our Workshops Your Way kits and I wanted to show you what happens when you just change a few papers around.
Today I wanted to share a couple of cards using the same card pattern, but lots of different twists from the original pattern.
First up is a birthday card made using the Adventure Fundamentals Paper Packet.
The change from embossed paper to a pattern paper was pretty easy, but I still wanted my card to have some texture so I embossed the black cardstock banner.
I used the stamps from the card workshop and just interchanged the sentiment. Finishing off the card were Black & White Dots.
Since the Kind Thoughts kit is made with paper from the Cats & Bats Workshop I thought I’d change a few things up and bring you a spooky Halloween party invitation!
Here’s what I knew when I started this card…I wanted a base of black that I could emboss with the retired Confetti Stars embossing folder to make it look like a night sky. I wanted to use the “word” B&T paper and I wanted to use a combination of stamps from the Cats & Bats suite of products.
Adding an embossed background really gives your card some great texture. I love my Big Shot, but if you are limited on space a Cuttlebug will work just fine. I just kept building on the card as I went along – the cute EEK replaces the circle on my original card and I stamped a spiderweb on the top part of the tag.
Grab this pattern (you can find it here) and make a card using any Close to My Heart papers other than what I’ve used here and share with me on my Papercrafting Princess Facebook page prior to 9/30 for a chance to win a sample packet of papers from the current Holiday Expressions.
One of the fabulous things about our Workshops Your Way are the fabulous instructions that come with our kits.
You can find the instructions which you can download and print by visiting my webpage http://www.papercraftingprincess.ctmh.com and then clicking on Shop and then Kits. All of the Workshop Your Way kits are listed and you just click on the picture of the one you want. You will notice the words “Download Guide” under the purchase price where you can add the workshop to your shopping cart if you choose to shop online.
I have attached the Kind Thoughts Card Kit workshop below, you can click the link to open in a new page.
Kind Thoughts Card Kit – Bats and Cats
You’ll notice that the first page of the Guide includes finished photos of the project, an image of the stamp set included with the kit and a list of supplies that you will need to complete the kit. The next pages include a cutting guide – including placement of thin cuts as needed. The final pages give step by step directions on how to assemble the project.
I love our workshop guides – they provide fabulous base instructions that are interchangeable with other papers. I’ll be posting some examples this week, make sure you check back for a fun little contest.
If you’ve purchased a Workshop Your Way Kit, make sure you get the guide downloaded so that you can complete your projects. If you have any questions – please feel free to give me a call and I will walk you through the process.
When you purchase the Stronger Together stamp set from my webpage by September 30th you will be entered into a drawing for a Basic Stamping Kit.
I was asked and very honored by my friend Susan Fogle at Paper Menagerie to be a guest designer over on the Three Amigos Blog Hop. The Falling for You papers are such a great way to start September so of course I jumped at the chance to start creating with them.
These fall colors work so perfectly with our Basics Palette and Color of the Year Bashful. I used Toffee as my base and Espresso to highlight the Bashful. The Thankful was cut using one of the new thin cuts dies. I also used a retired die to cut the heart outline in Bashful Glitter Paper. A sprinkling of Falling for You sequins bring a little balance to the card.
I hope you’ll hop on over to the Three Amigos Blog Hop to see what the wonderful ladies there have created, you will be falling for them in no time. I’ll be sharing some more projects this month using these papers so please make sure you click the button on my sidebar to follow my blog.
Thanks so much for stopping by I hope you’ll take some time to leave me a comment and then start creating with the Falling for You papers and link up at The Three Amigos.
