So, I think I may have caught the 3X4 card making bug. Yesterday I sat down in the Craft Coop not feeling very creative, but knowing I didn’t have much time to get a few more cards done. I wanted something that could be used for scrapbooking and this is what I came up with.
I used the Adventure color family to add lots of cheeriness to this card. The little sunburst is popped up and hangs off the page just a bit – my thoughts are if someone wants to use it in a pocket page they can trim it down to make it a true 3X4.
I’ve got a couple more ideas running through my head this morning so we will see how far I get on my to do list. Thanks for stopping by.
Welcome to the June Joyful Stars Blog Hop. If you’ve come from Nickie’s blog you are on the right path. If you’re starting here that’s ok too, we are a circular hop so if you click on the bottom of each post you’ll eventually make it all the way around to right back where you started.
Grab your glass of wine and let’s get started!
I’m bringing you a card that I swapped with some other Close to My Heart consultants in our Stamp of the Month Swap for June.
My card features papers from the Little Dreamer paper packet and the June Stamp of the Month – Hello Foxy. No unicorns in this pasture, but there is something special…my card has a hidden message. Nothing subliminal, just open it up and the fox disappears and the sentiment appears – like magic.
I’ll be offering a cards with movement class in July…so make sure you check back to learn more and sign up. Thanks again for stopping by! Now it’s time to hop over to Joyce’s Joyful Creations where I’m sure you’ll find some wonderful art.
I thought I’d share a little behind the scenes look at how I prepare for a card class.
First, I find an inspiration piece…in this case it’s a card from the No Worries Workshop. Usually I end up tweaking something (in this case glacier card stock instead of the zip strip). Then I assemble the card, you’ll notice this one is missing the sentiment, it will be added when I get back to my Craft Coop after the long weekend at our cabin. Once I’m happy with it I start cutting the supplies I need for my classes, each individual umbrella, lawn chair and b&t piece is hand cut.
When I multiply that by 6-10 people and four cards you can imagine the time it consumes and now you might understand a little better why I request an RSVP to my card classes.
Thanks for stopping by I hope you’ve enjoyed my behind the scenes look. I look forward to seeing you in card class real soon.
Yep….it’s another special Monday with a post for the Color My Heart Live Beautifully challenge. Have you checked out our special swap? There’s a pack of Glitter Paper up for grabs as a special prize!
I’m off on holiday so packed a
small box of goodies so I could “get my craft on”. I forgot to grab my Live Beautifully stamp set (which is not required to enter this challenge) so I paired it up with the Operation Smile special stamp set True Love. I love this stamp set – not only for it’s cute images, but the fact that it supports a great cause. It’s retiring at the end of July so if you haven’t added it to your collection – please make sure you get it before it’s gone! For every True Love Stamp set that is purchased from my webpage between now and the end of May I will add a bonus stamp set to your order. You can find the True Love set by clicking right here.
So now it’s time for you to pop on over to the Color My Heart Color Dare where you can enter into our Live Beautifully Challenge and our weekly Color Dare.
I hope you’ll take a few minutes and tell me what you think of the Live Beautifully papers and stamp set. It’s been a terrific set to create with and unfortunately there’s just a few more days to get it.
Thanks for stopping by!
Today I’m bringing you another card using the Live Beautifully Papers for our special challenge at the Color My Heart Color Dare.
These papers are just beautiful to create with. I needed a Thank You card and thought some Lemon cardstock would pair nicely with the bold floral from Live Beautifully. I stamped one of my favorite stamp sets Happy Heart in Whisper, Lemon & Blossom added a bit of gold shimmer trim and 3 green triangles.
Now it’s your turn to join our month long Live Beautifully Challenge. You can find the details here.
Thanks for stopping by.
I can’t decide if their fraternal or identical because all the papers in these two cards are identical they are just flipped over to show the other side.
I love everything about these cards especially since that cute cupcake has matching thin cuts.
Did you know that if you’re looking for inspiration my posts are searchable either by the category of card, paper packet or stamp set? I love it when I can be a part of your creative life. If you’re looking for a Close to My Heart consultant, I’d love to be yours.
Thanks for stopping by I hope you’ve got a little Sugar Rush now.
