This is one of my favorite patterns from the new Make It From Your Heart Vol 4.  You can choose any scraps and still come up with a delightful card.  It almost seemed to me that this Happy Birthday stamp was made just for this card.

Dear Friend – Color 275

What a fun weekend of creating I just completed.  I spent two nights and two days crafting with 44 other talented ladies at the Dumas Bay Retreat Centre in Federal Way, WA.  The views were breathtaking, the food amazing and the time to concentrate on some projects while spending time with friends was lots of fun.

Even though I’m not on the Design Team for the Color My Heart Color Dare – I still want to participate as I can make time.  This weeks c

olors are Fern, Heather and Bashful with an option to add Gold.

I picked a new pattern from the Make It From Your Heart 4 – card making pattern book and combined it with stamps from the Chelsea Gardens cardmaking stamp set & die cuts.  You really need to see this card in person to appreciate it’s sparkle.

I used Heather B&T paper from the Basics Collection and layered Fern cardstock & Bashful Glitter paper for my banners.

I stamped the leaf stamp directly on the card base in Fern and the sentiment in Heather.  I stamped and die cut the butterfly image from Bashful cardstock and then gave it’s wings a touch of sparkle with the Bashful Shimmer Pen.  I then finished off the card with a few Gold Glitter Gems.

Make it a beautiful day!

My card was a first runner up over at the Color My Heart Color Dare.

Just a Peek

My Christmas card making is way behind schedule, but I wanted to show you that it is underway.

I really love our stamps with matching thin cuts, assembling the pieces add a little work, but can you imagine all the fussy cutting time saved?

Color Club

Happy Saturday!

I've been trying to contain my excitement for new products until August 1st when the new catalog arrives, but I just can't wait anymore!

The entire basics family was changed this year and the colors are just amazing! Real colors that are going to blend so beautifully with our other color families.

For 11 months you can receive a new stamp pad, re-inker and a share of cardstock to stay on a stamping budget.

If you decide you can't wait 11 months you can by the entire Color Club all at once and I will give you the Color Of the Year for free!

All this fun starts on August 5th. Call or email me if you want to play along.

Enjoy the Little Things – Stampganza

Wow!  It’s Wednesday already…where does time go?

I’ve been having a blast showcasing the stamp sets that were brought back from retirement this month for Stampganza.  Enjoy the Little things with it’s cute flowers and little tag sentiment reminding us to enjoy the little things.

My 3X3 card was random stamped with the flowers in Glacier, Thistle and Lemon – notice how my random stamping is done in a triangular pattern – it really makes it an organized random 🙂  stamping off the page is good too!  Most of the time I start with a larger piece of paper and then cut it down to the size I need for my card.

Have you picked out your favorite stamps for Stampganza?  You can find them here.

Thanks for stopping by!

You Only Live Once – Stampganza

Happy Monday!  As I mentioned on Saturday it’s Stampganza during the month of July and Close to My Heart has brought a number of popular stamp sets out of retirement.

You Only Live Once was a hostess rewards stamp that I fell in love with and along with many others have become “keepers” in my never ending supply of stamps.  The sentiments just ring so very true.

I love this floral pattern from the Prickly Pear papers…just sweet in my humble opinion.

If you’d like to order this set you can find it here…along with the other stamps that have been brought back.  July is a great time to stock up on your stamps – buy two get the third free.

Thanks for stopping by…let me know which retired stamps are your favorites.
