It’s a twin birthday!

I can’t decide if their fraternal or identical because all the papers in these two cards are identical they are just flipped over to show the other side.

I love everything about these cards especially since that cute cupcake has matching thin cuts.

Did you know that if you’re looking for inspiration my posts are searchable either by the category of card, paper packet or stamp set?  I love it when I can be a part of your creative life.  If you’re looking for a Close to My Heart consultant, I’d love to be yours.

Thanks for stopping by I hope you’ve got a little Sugar Rush now.

Tea for Heart to Heart

This week the theme at the Heart to Heart Challenge blog is Tea Time.  Although the March Close to My Heart Stamp of the month was a fun tea-cup themed stamp set, I decided I wanted to do something a little different.

I grabbed some left over papers from my Sugar Rush paper packet layered them up and stamped one of the sentiments from the SOTM in the bottom corner.  I then cut the cute tea pot and overlay from the Flower Market Cricut cartridge.  You can’t see real well in my photo, but I used the clear shimmer brush on the tea pot and added a clear sparkle gem to the lid.  So easy and fun!

There was a bit of a question if I would get home in time to get my card and post done, but when this girl is on a mission she usually accomplishes it.  I had fun playing along with each of the weekly challenges at Heart 2 Heart this month.  I hope you’ve enjoyed my posts.

I challenge you to stop by one of the many challenge blogs (preferably the Color Dare since I’m a Design Team member) and get some inspiration.

A Cup of Tea for Mom

This month the Stamp of the Month features 6 great teacup and coordinating images along with 5 sentiments which you can order for just $5US with a qualifying purchase.  That sounds Tea-riffic to me!

I decided to take some inspiration from the photo in the Seasonal Expressions and instead of a scrapbook I changed it to a 3.5 X 8 card.

I softly water colored my teacup to not smudge the pomegranate ink.  The sugar rush papers gave a fun texture to the base of the card.  I added a small piece of Sea Glass glitter paper on the inside edge to show under the scallops.

Remember the stamp of the month is only available during the month of March so order yours today by visiting my webpage http://www.papercraftingprincess.ctmh.com.

I’d appreciate it if you took a moment and let me know what types of cards you like to make by leaving me a comment.

It’s the Sweetest Day

Happy Valentine’s Day!

I wanted to let you in on a little of what happened in my life preparing for Valentine’s Day!

This is my grandma’s rolling pin, it’s been missing a handle for as long as I can remember.  I think it makes my hubby a little nervous that someday it might come up missing both handles.  I combined it with my mom’s sugar cookie recipe to spread a little love.  I took some to two of the guys my hubby has coffee with daily – one’s a widow and one’s single!  I’m pretty sure they liked them.  I also took a couple to my son along with 3 dozen chocolate chip cookies to share with his work buddies.  They were definitely a hit!

This is the Valentine that I made for my son…it’s a quick 3X3 using the Emojis set.  Super cute in my opinion with the fundamentals heart paper perfect for someone that cares much more about the cookies than the card 🙂  I get it!

This card for my boss is stamped using a retired stamp set.  I even think she’ll like the punny Valentine wish.

This card is going to my sweet co-worker.  She is definitely the sprinkles on my ice-cream!  I topped the cute cone with some of the coordinating Sugar Rush Dots, you can barely see them in the photo.  That little row of hearts at the bottom of the white panel is the Sugar Rush Washi tape…sweet huh?  LOVE this Sugar Rush paper, I’m on my second pack already!!!

One of my favorite things about card making is being able to customize my cards.  This last Valentine is going to my sweetheart.  He is the best Valentine a girl could ask for.  If you see me in person ask about our first Valentine’s Day Date – I knew up front what I was cut out for and decided he was a KEEPER!!!  This stamp set is from My Favorite Things a new to me company (like I needed another stamp company in my life).  I fell in love with this girl and her dog and knew I needed to get it to make my Valentine card for him.  The papers are from the Close to My Heart Fundamental line mixed with a little black cardstock, everything was colored with the Shin Han markers.  I hid it on his dash board so he found it on his way to work this morning.  LOVE that guy!

I just got notice that Close to My Heart is having a surprise SWEET SALE this afternoon – it’s start at 2:00 PST so hop on my OBA and see what you can find.  You can click this link or visit my page at www.papercraftingprincess.ctmh.com.  Don’t forget my personal promotion this month – for every $50 order you will be entered into a drawing for a free complements pack.  It’s a great time to stock up on card bases and envelopes and check out the amazing discounts on our clearance page.

I am in love, love, love with the new Sugar Rush paper packet.  It has the perfect blends of brights and pastels.

I also love finding a card for inspiration and then giving it some twists and turns and making it my own.  This card was inspired by one from consultant Karen Pedersen (you can see her card here).  The January stamp of the month, Adore You, has the perfect blend of hearts, flowers and the absolute best choices of sentiments all for just $5 US with a qualifying purchase.

If you’d like to purchase any of the Close to My Heart items I’ve featured I’d be happy to help (you can click here to go to my business page) or you can contact your own Close to My Heart Consultant.

I’d love it if you’d take a minute to leave me a comment and then hop on over to Michelle’s blog where I’m sure you’ll find delightful artwork.
