For the Love of Crafting – Color Dare #304

Happy Friday and welcome to another week of the Color My Heart Color Dare.  This week we are featuring  the colors: Eggplant, Linen and Peacock.

I chose to pair the August Stamp of the Month, For the Love of Crafting, with the Fundamentals in Eggplant & Peacock.  My typewriter was stamped directly onto the Linen cardstock.  The sentiment was also stamped on Linen, but I fussy cut them (can you believe it) so I could pop them up individually.  Do you know what card kit this pattern was from?  The first one to tell me will get this card in the mail.

OK, now it’s YOUR turn!  The full details on how to join the fun is in the sidebar of our homepage.  Each color dare is open for two weeks so you have plenty of time to play!Image may contain: text

While at the homepage – check out what the other design team members have created and leave them a little love (comments make our day)!

Do What You Love

I’d rather make cards than do laundry so I think I’m going to try using that excuse next time my Wrangler Wearing Sweetheart runs out of socks, LOL!

My card is made using the last of my Beautiful You paper packet.  I really like the Sapphire against the Bashful.  I stamped the sentiment in Smoothie and added a few Documented gems and light gray ribbon to finish it off.

I appreciate you stopping by and hope you’ll leave a comment I take the time to read each and every one of them.

The August Stamp of the Month For the Love of Crafting is right up my alley.  I couldn’t wait to get it inked up and start creating.

I reached for the Central Park papers because I loved all the messy dots on this paper.  I made this card for my friend and fellow CTMH consultant that helped me with my booth at the Consultant Showcase at convention.  The sentiment seemed kind of plain so I found my Ink Blot stamp set and added a few splotches of color.  It almost reminds me of graffiti and exactly the look I was going for.

Now “Hop” on over to my Crafty Happy friend Darlys to next blog to see her work! Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their Blogs to get some great crafting ideas and other fun ideas! Highlight Reel – July SOTM

Every once in a while a Stamp of the Month comes around and I wonder “what in the world am I going to do with that” I mean really?  July’s Stamp of the Month, Highlight Reel, seemed perfect for scrapbooking, but making a card?!

So after sitting at staring at it surrounded by talented friends in the Craft Coop and kind of talking it through I got to work.

Today I’m sharing the collection of cards that I received through my Stamp of the Month Swap.  8 cards of inspiration and very valid reasons to purchase July’s Stamp of the Month.

A Sunny Birthday

Do you ever wonder what to do with this sheet of paper that comes in your Close to My Heart Paper Packets?

This sheet from the Central Park paper packet is full of bright colors perfect for the popular pocket scrapbooking, but shouldn’t be overlooked for a card.

I added a zip-strip and cut a scallop from the Central Park paper packet along with a little arrow from the July Stamp of the Month that I stamped in Willow.  I dug through my stamps until I could find a Happy Birthday sentiment that would fit.  I added some sequins and then bitty sparkles to bling it up just a bit.  I’ll be delivering some sunshine to a mailbox with this card for sure!

Good Times with Central Park

I’m back from Las Vegas and ready to craft with a vengeance.  The first thing I reached for was the July Stamp of the Month Highlight Reel and my packet of Central Park paper.  I love this little city scene paper, but then I started really looking at the pack and it’s got a lot of happy thoughts churning in my head!  Do you see the little touch of vellum under the sentiment square – it’s popped up with 3D Foam Dots to give the card a little dimension.

When I first saw the July Stamp of the Month I thought, “How am I ever going to use that set on a card” but after swapping with some fellow consultants I have all sorts of inspiration.product image

Thanks for stopping by and giving me a little part of your day.

Awesome to the Core

The June Stamp of the Month is filled with some fun outline images just waiting to be colored along with some “punny” sayings.

A few weeks ago I saw a technique video on making a wreath with the Misti stamp positioning tool, you might have seen my lemon wreath card, I thought the apples would work well too! I added a banner cut from the Flower Market Cricut cartridge and stamped the sentiment in the middle. The card was finished with a couple of red gems in two of the corners on the main image.

Don’t forget to get your Bushel & a Peck stamp set for $5 with a qualifying order before the end of June.

Thanks for stopping by – I think all my followers are awesome to the core, especially when you leave me a little love!

Sending Lemony Smiles

It’s the last day of May and I realized I have not expressed my love of the May Stamp of the Month, Classic Summer Bash, nearly enough!

I invested in a Misti stamping tool and have been looking up techniques on Pinterest and found a great video on how to create a wreath template and my brain went to work.  I had seen that Atlantic Hearts Sketch #266 was featuring a wreath so combining the two,  then I stumbled upon the Heart to Heart When Life Hands You Lemons challenge and it all came together for me to participate in a couple of challenge and accomplish my goal of sharing one more card with this sweet stamp set.

Make sure that you don’t waste anytime getting the May Stamp of the Month – it goes away at midnight tonight!  You can click on the picture below and go straight to my shopping page where you can add the stamp set to your cart.

Color Your Life – April SOTM

I’m not sure where March disappeared to, but it was apparently right in front of my eyes and with very little crafty time.  Do you ever have months like that?

I’m going to try and make April different and get to my blog and social media accounts on a regular basis.  I do seem to get my Facebook page and Instagram account updated a little more easily as it’s just a photo and a caption instead of a couple paragraphs.

You did come by for artwork didn’t you?  Well, April’s Stamp of the Month is here and ready for some inky goodness.  You can add this stamp set to your qualifying order for just $5.

Stamps

I combined a floral bouquet from the Many Congratulations with the Celebrate from the SOTM for a clean simple look.  I managed to not keep my own card in my monthly card swap so I don’t have such a great picture to share.

I hope you’ll forgive me for being absent a bit and maybe consider coming by the Coop for one of my upcoming card classes.
