I Heart Us Tic Tac Toe Board

Neutrals: White, Cream, Black, Gray, Kraft and Brown(s) are free to use unless otherwise specified in our board.

I chose to use the February Stamp of the month for my card…it’s a big bold stamp that works well for the Spotlight technique. I stamped the image in black twice and figured out what part I wanted to highlight I then cut that image from one of my images colored it and added it to a Mint stitched circle. A Black Glitter Paper Scalloped banner finished off the card.

OK, now it’s YOUR turn!  The full details on how to join the fun is in the sidebar of our homepage.   Our Weekly Challenges are open for two weeks and you have until Thursday, February 28th to enter Challenge #330

Make sure you check out what the other design team members have created and leave them a little love (just as you love comments on your artwork – we love yours too)!

More than Card Captions

I’m not sure where January went, but it seems like I didn’t write nearly enough good things about the January SOTM – even though I spent lots of time creating not everything made it to the blog. It seems as though Facebook and Instagram get the most attention from me – they are fast and easy!

I wanted to pop in today – the last day of January with a quick reminder that if you didn’t get the January Stamp of the Month Card Captions – you still have today to get it purchased!

Even though the title is Card Captions – it’s definitely more than that! I found these cute Valentine pens at the Dollar Store (I think there is 8 or 12 in the package) and I knew I had to figure out something cute to make with them.

This little post it note holder was so much fun to make and it comes with a place to hold that pen too! It’s really quite easy to make and even funner to decorate! I kept everything flat in case the recipient wants to carry it in her purse, but it would look totally great on a desk too! The papers are from the Heart Happy Special that will make all your Valentine making easy!

I hope you’ll consider popping over to my webpage to place an order…it would sure make my heart happy!

Card Captions

Have you seen the January Stamp of the Month – Card Captions?  If you are a card maker it should be at the top of your list!  A set of twenty-six sentiments & images for your stamping pleasure.

I am surrounded by amazing consultants and am so blessed that they share their artwork in a Stamp of the Month Swap that I hostess.  The four cards that surround mine are all from that swap and each card is labeled with it’s artist.

I hope you’ll find lots of inspiration from these ladies…if you’d like more information about any of the cards I’ll do my best to answer if you’ll leave a comment below.

Nothing About Christmas

One of my favorite things I love about Close to My Heart is that our papers are so versatile.  Even though the Oh What Fun papers are definitely a Christmas themed paper – only one paper in the packet is actually a Christmas paper (and only one side) all the rest are just beautiful patterns in bright cheery colors.

I paired my card with some black paper and embellishments and even stamped the Candy Cane alphabet in Black which gave this card a totally non-Christmas feel.

The December Stamp of the Month can be added to your qualifying order for just $5, but you need to act fast – once the calendar turns it will be like so many other amazing products in the Holiday Expression and will be gone for good.

Thanks for stopping by…I hope you’ll consider adding the Oh What Fun papers to your collection and use them all year long.

Inspired by Nature

Heart 2 Heart Challenges asks what it looks like outside where you are?  My Craft Coop windows are flanked with trees that are bit by bit losing their leaves.

My card was inspired by those leaves falling in the breeze and a card that I had seen on Pinterest here.  I love perusing Pinterest for card ideas there are so many wonderful artists to gain inspiration from, however I always put my own twist on the card.

I have always loved (until recently) sending happy mail so I seem to be getting a lot of use out of this Hello Friend Sentiment from the Grateful Heart Cardmaking Stamp set.

I hope you’ll consider checking out the Heart 2 Heart Challenges – their challenges are posted weekly but open for the entire month so it gives you lots of time to participate.

Thanks for stopping by…happy fall y’all!

Seasonal Trees

Today I have some very special artwork to share with you.  Each month I host a card swap that requires the use of the Close to My Heart Stamp of the Month and each month I am amazed at the talented cards that I receive, photograph, watermark, swap out and send out to my “sister consultants”.

There seems to be a huge debate in the art world if watermarking photos is necessary, but the one thing that I want to avoid is having someone else think I made all this gorgeous work.  So enjoy the art, but also make a note of who made it.

Do you have a favorite…leave me a comment.

September SOTM meets Color Dare #311

It’s Color Dare Friday and here’s the 3-1-1 actually it’s challenge #311, but I’m feeling a tad giddy after struggling with these colors to get a card that I’m really in love with.

If you’d like to create with us this week, reach for all things Saffron, Peacock & Ballerina with an option of adding Gold.

If you haven’t added the September Stamp of the Month to your order yet this month, don’t wait a minute longer – if this is the only stamp set you buy this fall you will still be set to create all the way up to Christmas!

Thankful for Sweet Friends

There are so many new products being released on September 1st – I wasn’t sure what I wanted to share first so I decided to pop in with a card using the September Stamp of the Month and a new color scheme from the Love of Color – Close to My Heart’s latest How To book.

I picked a B&T paper from the Boutique Paper Suite and then turned to the Saffron Page in the Love of Color Book.  It suggested a color combination of Saffron, Almond, Peacock, Ruby & Espresso.  Now for the life of me I am not a 5 color gal in card making unless it happens that all the stars align in a B&T paper (which sometimes it does), but I decided this new book couldn’t lead me astray so I grabbed my other favorite How To Book – Make it From Your Heart Vol 4 and went to work.

The September Stamp of the Month,  Sweet Treats, is a real winner and will celebrate all your upcoming occasions through the end of the year and beyond.  When you can purchase a stamp set for just $5.00 with a qualifying purchase why wouldn’t you want to have it as part of your stamp collection?product image

This is the cover for the new Love of Color Book.  It will fit in our 6X8 everyday life album and I’m pretty sure you’ll be hearing a lot about this book in the coming days & months!

There really are so many specials going on during the month of September…make sure you check back frequently and you can even visit my business page at www.papercraftingprincess.ctmh.com to learn more.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Leave me a little love with a comment on what you’re most excited about with this new catalog.

More Magical

Every good tourist should have a camera and the Magical paper pack gives you a B&T paper that is filled with choices!  My friend Debi G and I had a productive day in the Coop Monday and we put together this cute camera that we saw on Instagram by Aaron Brown (another CTMH Consultant).

What’s special about this card?  It’s got a sneak peak of a brand new color Candy Apple!  I love that we finally have a true red in our color palette, the fact that it works so well with Lagoon is just an added bonus.

I thought I had a pretty colorful little Instax camera – since mine is just white it was fun to dream a little.

I’m linking up with the Three Amigo’s Blast From the Past – using their Challenge #10 Anything Goes!  They are a fun group of ladies…not quite as fun as Double Trouble, but close!

I hope you’ll consider purchasing the Magical paper packet while it’s on special thru September 30th.  It is such a fun, colorful paper good for so much more than just amusement park scrapbooking.
