A Little Birthday Cheer

Last week, my upline posted a video on creating 6 cards from one sheet of B&T…couldn’t let that little challenge pass me by.

I grabbed my Happy Times Paper Packet and started cutting! Then I called my neighbor and borrowed her Happy Times Stamp Set because I just didn’t think I’d use it that much and didn’t order it…ha!  Guess what I’m ordering today?!

These cards were so fun to make and so quick!

Here’s the cutting information:

Cut the zip strip off your B&T and then cut at 5.25 and 1.5 – you are then left with two 5.25X12 and a 1.5X 12 strip.  Rotate the B&T and cut at 4 and 8 you now have 6 panels and 3 short strips.  Take three of the bases and cut 1.5 inches off the bottom (flip them over and now you have matching bases)  You can decorate as you wish.

Let me know if you try this by leaving a link in my comments section – I’d love to see what you come up with!

Scrappy Happy

The National Scrapbook Month paper packet, Happy Times, is certainly finding some use in my craft room.  I just love the happy colors!

Several days ago another consultant posted a card on her blog on how to use up scraps,so  I thought what the heck…I’ve got scraps!  Then I reached for my Happy Times which really isn’t scraps yet.  Oh well, I like my card!

You can see Karen’s card by clicking here – she was kind enough to include the measurements so you can give it a spin too!

I hope you’ll order your Happy Times paper packet before it’s gone at the end of this month.  Time flies so why not order yours today?

Happy Times – National Scrapbook Month

Welcome to the National Scrapbook Month Blog Hop – today we have over 30 Close to My Heart Consultants sharing their art using the Happy Times paper packet.  If you have come here from Helen Gullet’s Blog you are on the right track.  If you started here that’s ok, too, the blog hop is a great big circle and you can just work your way around.  If you get lost around the way you can find the complete list on Melinda’s Blog

Happy Times might be labeled as a paper packet for National Scrapbook month, but my first love is card making!  Today I’m bringing you a shaped card from the Art Philosophy cartridge using the Happy Times Paper packet.  I just fell in love with the bold floral that I used for the background.  The sentiment is stamped in Fern using the new Bitty Birthday stamp set from the new Seasonal Expressions.  The flower is from the Happy Times coordinating stamp set which I stamped and then fussy cut.  The pink enamel gems finished off my card.
